High Impact Paper Award to be introduced.

At its meeting held in London, 26 June 2009, Council approved the institution of a major new IFAC award to acknowledge the impact of a paper published in any of the official IFAC journals on the broad areas of Automatic Control theory and application. At most two such awards will be made in any triennium. The award(s) will be presented by the President at each IFAC Triennial Congress at the Opening Ceremony.

The Call for Nominations and the exact requirements for this award will be published by mid-December, together with the Calls for Nominations for the Quazza Medal, the Nichols Medal and the Industrial Achievement Award.
